Had a nice time this morning speaking to some extremely pleasant and interested people at Margate library about writing historical fiction. Was asked to speak for 40-45 minutes but their interest lulled me into a false sense of security and I drivelled on for over an hour. Fortunately, nobody seemed to mind.
But with writing work, paid work, SAD, the talk on Thursday and this today I am now exhausted so the Other Half and I are going to unplug the phone, curl up with the DVD/HD and watch all the things we’ve recorded this week. Kevin McCloud and Gareth Malone here we come…

We've had a couple of authors give talks at the library I work in, and they always go down very well. It's usually the author who has to call time as the audience generally can't get enough!
Librarians are officially my new favourite people!
